Howdy, and welcome to Zengen! We’re so glad you’ve come to check out our launch. We decided Valentine’s Day was a good day to launch because Zengen is all about heart, and how to fill it with beautiful, nurturing things.
Here at Zengen we want to help you generate your own Zen. To do that, we need to offer you fuel, which we do in our Breathe blog. This includes the daily dose of motivation, and weekly information about all aspects of our mind and bodies, often exploring the connections between the two. We also focus on the three hubs of health: Moving your self, Nourishing your self, and Exploring your self. We have specific challenges to stretch you in each of these areas. When we actively engage each of these areas, and connect our minds and bodies together, we can create a fertile ground to generate Zen.
What is Zen, you may ask? Good question. Zen comes from the religion Zen Buddhism, which is the practice of mindful meditation and being wholly present. Over time, the word Zen began to denote a sense of ideal balance, purpose, serenity, and tranquility. Urban dictionary describes it as: "a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. It also is a state of mind." This is what we are aiming to generate here at Zengen. We think Rafael Espericueta explained it best:
Look around at what we've got going. We will be adding every week, so keep coming back. We’ve got fitness challenges, nutritional challenges, and explorations into happiness and connections through programs like the Soul Saunter Series.
Come GENerate some ZEN in your life. Get nourished. Get fit. Get ZENGEN.
